Life Sciences Week has announced BioDundee as a partner for Life Sciences Week 2026, connecting Dundee's life sciences and healthcare cluster with Life Sciences Week’s national platform.

BioDundee is a partnership between public, private and academic organisations working to strengthen the life sciences and healthcare sectors in Dundee and the wider Tayside region, through partnership working, networking, knowledge exchange and skills development. Dundee is home to one of the most exciting life sciences clusters in the UK, with world-class companies, universities and research institutes all within a three-mile radius, including the University of Dundee and Abertay University.

As part of the partnership, Life Sciences Week will connect BioDundee's community of companies, researchers and academic institutions with its national network of pharmaceutical, med-tech, healthcare, academic, policy and investment leaders, while BioDundee helps raise the profile of Dundee's life sciences cluster among the Life Sciences Week audience.

Dundee City Council convener of City Growth and Infrastructure Cllr Steven Rome, said:

"I am delighted that Dundee's life sciences community are getting involved in this important occasion.

"It is vital that our local industry keeps up connections with similar clusters across the country as networking like this leads to positive developments in the future and helps to attract talent to our city."

Amy Deakin, Managing Director of Life Sciences Week, said:

“Life Sciences Week exists to bring the UK’s life sciences community together, wherever in the country great work is happening.”

“Dundee has built a significant life sciences cluster, and this partnership means the people and organisations behind it will be part of Life Sciences Week 2026.”

“We’re looking forward to working with BioDundee to facilitate new connections between our two life sciences communities.”

Life Sciences Week 2026 takes place from 21-25 September 2026, with a week-long programme of showcase events, panels, roundtables, site visits, networking and sector-led activity nationwide..
