Dundee tops UK table for Forensic Science

The University of Dundee has been ranked top in the United Kingdom for Forensic Science in the 2020 edition of the Complete University Guide league tables.

 

Dundee’s wider strengths across the life and medical sciences are also recognised with the University in the UK top five for Dentistry (2nd), Anatomy (4th), Biological Sciences (4th) and Medicine (5th).

 

Professor Andrew Atherton, Principal & Vice-Chancellor of the University, said, “This is a very strong performance again in subjects where we are among the leaders not just in the UK but worldwide.”

 

Professor Niamh Nic Daeid, Director of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science at the University, said, “These rankings confirm once again that Dundee is the premier place in the UK for the study of, and research into, forensic science. This is the platform from which we are working to boost forensic science's contributions to the justice system and society as a whole.”
