This is the second Conversation that we’re running on the Scottish bioeconomy, and takes place from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, 20 June.
In Scotland, we urgently need to change the way our resources are produced if we are to tackle climate change and reduce environmental impacts. "Reimagining Food” will provide a showcase for new food systems that can provide nutritional, high-yielding food that can be grown locally, on a small or large scale, on otherwise redundant or derelict land. The event will cover a range of systems from traditional regenerative farming, to emerging biotech companies, including vertical farms and mycoproteins made from fungi. Speakers will include Dr Mads Fischer-Moller (SRUC and Leader of Nordic Food Policy Lab) and Rupert Waites (Buck and Birch).
The first event, “Imagining Bioproducts”, a hybrid event on other bioproducts and their potential, is being held both at The Gordon Schools, Huntly and online from 2pm to 4pm on Monday, 13 June. Please find full details of this event here: “Imagining Bioproducts”.
