A hybrid event at the University of Dundee

EMBL invites researchers, entrepreneurs, investors as well as members of its own community – including alumni and staff – to Dundee, the City of Discovery, for EMBL in the UK 2022. This year, hear how research discoveries can effectively be translated into impact. What lessons can we learn from previous ventures in order to maximise future collaborations?

Venture investors, funders and expert speakers from industry and academia will share how they are maximising the translation of great discoveries into great impact, as well as what they seek when considering partnerships with researchers. You will hear from a range of voices representing multiple perspectives, highlighting the challenges and possibilities for both researchers and investors.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in launching new spin-out ventures, collaborating with industry or exploring career options in these areas to gain essential knowledge and understanding, and to learn from or contribute to a fascinating and evolving debate.

“This hybrid event offers an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties and explore collaborations with the EMBL community and between industry and science researchers in the UK and beyond. There will also be a discussion on EMBL scientific resources available to all.

Registration is free and open to all, and includes refreshments. Space is limited so if you would like to attend in-person, please register as early as possible to secure a spot. You can indicate online or in-person attendance on the registration form.

Who Should Attend:

EMBL in… events are open to all life scientists. The aim is to share what’s happening at EMBL with communities in our EMBL member and associate member states, as well as learn about new and innovative life sciences research and resources available in EMBL host countries. With these events, we seek to open up valuable dialogue, ensuring that as many people as possible have access to the opportunities provided by both EMBL and its alumni and partners.
