MedAscend is an online training platform that allows healthcare students to practise real patient conversations in a safe, realistic way. Students speak to lifelike AI patients who look, sound and respond just like real people. They receive feedback and scoring on how they communicated and the clinical decisions they made, after each interaction. This helps them build the confidence and skills to interact with patients, ask the right questions, and make safer, more effective decisions, ultimately leading to better patient care and outcomes in real practice.

We are 4th-year medical students supported by the Centre of Entrepreneurship, who have brought together senior clinical consultants and experienced technical developers to create MedAscend. This blend of clinical expertise and technical capability has allowed us to design a platform that reflects real-world training needs while remaining scalable and technically robust.
