A number of health and social care staff from across Tayside have reached the finals of the prestigious Scottish Health Awards.
The Scottish Health Awards are for those working across NHS Scotland and its partners to deliver high quality health and social care services to the people of Scotland. The awards are run by NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government and recognise those that go that extra mile to improve the health and wellbeing of others.
The awards ceremony, which is being held virtually, will take place on Wednesday, 9 December.
The Tayside finalists are:

Support Worker Ashley McGee, Clinical Support Worker Speech & Language Therapy, Royal Victoria Hospital
Global Citizenship Sonali Tarafdar, Consultant, Ophthalmology, Ninewells Hospital
Integrated Care Sexual Health & Blood Borne Virus Managed Care Network - Eliminating Hepatitis C
Two members of NHS Tayside’s breast imaging team are also nominated in the Global Citizenship category. Jane Macaskill and Professor Andy Evans are members of Medical Aid for Palestine, which is made up of volunteers from across Scotland.
