The Institute for Medical Science & Technology, IMSaT, brings engineers, physicists, material scientists and nano-bio scientists and life scientists together with clinicians, health service providers, and corporates to research and develop novel technologies and devices for surgical and images-guided interventions possible because of the multidisciplinary approach between the biomedical and physical sciences.


The Surgical Technology and Robotics research Group at IMSaT has a track record of delivering cutting edge instrumentation for Minimal Access Surgery. Through our ISO 13485:2016 accredited quality management system we identify, research, develop, test and manufacture surgical technologies with three main stakeholders in mind; The patient, surgeon and the healthcare provider.
