4th International Conference on Pathway Medicine

Biomarkers in Personalised Medicine

Following previous events on Pathway Biology for Healthcare (2005), Pathway Biology in Medicine (2006), and Systems Biology in Medicine (2007), this conference will take the view on Pathway Medicine one step further into Personalised Medicine covering Diagnostics and Therapy.

Biomarkers have been increasingly recognised as key components for diagnostics and future pharmaceuticals, leading to emerging opportunities for companion diagnostics and personalised medicine. As step changes in detection technologies enable multiplexed monitoring of complex biomarkers and their dynamics, a systems pathway biology approach in diagnostics and therapy becomes viable. The conference will lead from fundamental systems views on detection of pathogens, their host responses an interactions, including metabolomic effects towards informatic and technical solutions for multiplex detection diagnostics.
