BIAS Thistle Bioscience Showcase and SE Life Sciences Annual Dinner, Edinburgh, 5th Febuary 2009.
The 2009 BIA Scotland Thistle Bioscience Showcase will be held this year in the Surgeon's Hall Complex in Edinburgh. The event will feature 15 min slots for each company to deliver their concept, their business model, their technologies and/or know-how and their ambitions for development, all under the critical eyes of a panel of experts from the life sciences industry. The showcase has been timed to coincide with the Scottish Enterprise Annual Life Sciences Awards and Dinner, which will be held that evening in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. 9th Annual BioDundee International Conference
The dates for the 9th Annual BioDundee International Conference have been confirmed as Thursday 4th June 2009. The event will be held in Dundee over two days and will feature a full Conference line-up on Thursday 4th, with a Gala Dinner in the evening, and on Friday 5th a Partnering Event hosted by Enterprise Europe Scotland.
The 2009 BioDundee Conference will be entitled Focusing on the Future- Tomorrow's world of biotechnology, and will cover key issues such as new pathways for drug discovery, the future of personalised medicine, market driven innovation and investor strategies.
The programme so far includes:

Two new companies have recently been added to the BioDundee Online Company Directory. The new additions, G-FIT and EQ Accountants, are from complete opposite ends of the life sciences sector spectrum and are an excellent addition to the support services that currently exist within the area.
G-fit is a professional office furniture installation team that was founded by Project Manager Grant Ferrie in response to a market demanding an experienced team who could cope with a variety of installations worldwide.
