The University of Abertay Dundee houses the Scottish Universities leading Environmental Research Group comprising ACE (Abertay Centre for the Environment) together with the water and environmental management consultancy (UWTC – Urban Water Technology Centre) and SIMBIOS (a mathematical biology centre). These three groups can offer solutions to environmental problems for companies large and small though ACE has a particular brief to assist with SM E’s. ACE Composting Services provides practical advice, training and testing services to the industry. Whilst, Sports Turf Solutions is providing advice to golf courses throughout Scotland.

ACE is a ‘one stop shop’ which provides solutions to environmental issues confronting SME’s. The ACE facilities include very well equipped research and development laboratories as well as product development labs that can be used for SME’s.
